Gunpowder green tea is one of China’s best-known quality teas. The Chinese call it Zhucha (tea pearl) because of its shape, as well as Pingshui, the name of the region in which it is grown. It is believed that it took its name from the fact that the small green tea balls resembled actual gunpowder.
